March Newsletter 2022

Dear friend,

Greetings! I hope all is well! Thank you for your prayers and support which are helping the gospel reach some of the most isolated people groups in Venezuela and Colombia.

This month we’re using the chainsaw to build a church in a tribe in Venezuela called Kasmera. I will show pictures once this church temple is finished. After finishing the temple at this tribe we will start making a temple at another tribe called Kunana Kushipa. God has been confirming His Word in great ways, therefore they have been asking for a temple to be built in their tribe to be able to preach the gospel. It will also be used for a place for my Indian teams to stay when they go to disciple the people that live in this tribe.

This year not only do I have aspirations to start more radio stations, but also to strengthen the tribes and collaborate by evangelizing, discipling, building church temples and rebuilding older church structures that we initially built years ago.

Last month I was able to make a new cement floor for the church at the Marewa tribe (where I have the radio station). This month we have a very big event at the Marewa tribe. At this tribe, I will be having a Bible School with many Indian leaders. I will show pictures in the next newsletter.

After our Indigenous Bible School, Venancio will take a radio transmitter through the mountains of Colombia and we, Lord willing, will meet in Colombia. I will also be meeting with Diomedes, the pastor at my main church in Venezuela, and the radio technician who installs and repairs my different radio stations.

We have programmed the first week of March to start the new radio station in Punto Fijo, Venezuela. It has taken longer than foreseen because 2 other radio transmitters at my stations needed repaired. The one in Maracaibo Venezuela, after being repaired, has a lot more coverage. It encompasses much more territories and cities now. It even has coverage at another city which is a 45-minute drive from Maracaibo.

At the radio station in Punto Fijo, we received help from the members of my friend Gustavo’s church. People have donated everything from the place where the station will operate (a shipping container with doors and windows), to the TV tower. It’s an amazing thing to see.

This month we gave families food. Below are pictures of some less fortunate members of our church who we were able to buy food for. They were not expecting it, and when we showed up, many said that they had run out of food and this was a miracle from God.

My churches in Venezuela and Colombia are doing great. The churches keep growing in numbers and the people are growing in their spiritual walk. Also, every Friday, we are discipling a group of people in an area where we aspire to start a third church in Venezuela. Once there are enough people we will figure out where to put the church.

*I would like to share with you a testimony from an Indian woman from the Marewa tribe who told Venancio her story. Her name is Diadira Katare and she is 35 years old. She almost lost her baby when she was 3 months pregnant, and then she almost lost it again when she was 8 months pregnant. When she was 8 months pregnant, she was dying. She said it was a miracle from God that she did not die. They took her to the hospital in Machiques, Venezuela (where I have 2 churches), where she was dying. When she was in the hospital, she said she left her body. As she left her body, she said that she saw Jesus. Jesus had on a white and red tunic. She said Jesus showed her His wrists and feet and there were the holes from when He was crucified. Jesus told her, “Don’t fear, because I am with you. You must testify once you are well, what I show you.” At the time, Diadira said that she couldn’t say anything; she just kept staring and listening. First Jesus said, “You are going to be healed, then He said that He died for the sins of the whole world. He showed her the holes on his wrists and feet. Jesus said that her baby (she was then 8 months pregnant) would grow healthy. Jesus said, “When you are better, testify to all what I have told you.”

She wasn’t a Christian before this, but because of this experience that she had when she and her baby almost died, she accepted Christ in her heart. She is now a faithful believer. Her baby was born and is healthy and whole.

Well, thank you again for all your prayers and support. It makes all our work in Venezuela and Colombia possible. God bless you.
